Our team’s most recent project, the Organic Meadow site provides a welcoming web presence for this organic dairy co-operative. Products, farm-family stories and organic food news present a variety of views on Organic Meadow’s interests. The How It’s Made area gives OMI an interesting way to present their farms, their production process, and Esther the cow.

The main goal in this project was to reflect a strong existing print brand (designed by Gareth Lind of linddesign.ca), and to organize, organize, organize. The architecture of the new site lets the client add content to a flexible and intuitive navigation structure. Stay tuned to this site and to co-ops in general, as 2012 becomes the United Nations’ International Year of the Co-op.

Downtown Guelph has been Barking Dog Studios’ home as a business for the past 15 years and is the heart and soul of this great city. This web site for the Business Improvement Association profiles interesting events and lists 400+ businesses, giving visitors a glimpse of what we love about the downtown and inviting them to join in the fun.

This web project gives Mount Allison university a way to unite fabulous photography, a Twitter feed, and campus destinations into short tours for those interested in attending Mount Allison University. The map was illustrated by Guelph artist and illustrator Nick Craine, and provides a fabulous backdrop for the virtual campus tour.

The notion of using the periodic table of elements as the underlying structure for the site design was one of those subconscious moments when art, thought and technology collides. As a designer, I’m always thankful to have these moments. And, it never hurts to have extraordinarily interesting subject matter and smart, witty clients.

This site is the result of some great team brainstorming. Our goal was to merge design and functionality to provide a visually rich and intuitive experience for parents, teachers and children. As all of Bob’s books are rich in illustrations, we had a tonne of great resources to work. Running an in-house daycare at Barking Dog also gave us a willing audience for comment and critique.

Leslie Beck has been a client since 1999, and this site has expanded in scope vastly over the past 12 years. Over this time, it’s been through only 2 design iterations, which is a pretty fabulous testament to the power of clean, appealing design that can hold its own against trends. The content management system allows Leslie’s team to easily add content and build resources for her audience.

This is our second re-invention of the Cannon web site, the student run information portal for students at the University of Guelph. A fresh, clean and modern design presents news, articles, images, video content, as well as a robust classifieds system for housing, textbooks, jobs, ride-sharing and more.

In 2005, when we first met Trashy (a three stream waste centre/kitchen island/cabinet), we fell in love. Designed and crafted by Erik van Miltenberg, this Canadian designed and made product has all the right moves. Our design goal was to use great images and a visual story-telling to convey the beauty and functionality of Trashy, and to convey its eco-friendly specs.

The Bookshelf
The Bookshelf
Nearing its 40th year in operation, the Bookshelf is an institution in Guelph and is widely known as Canada’s best bookstore. The business combines a bookstore, cinema, bar, and restaurant under one roof. Our challenge was to create a timeless and recognizable identity that represented all of their divisions, but was flexible enough to change as new divisions were added.
